THE KING'S COURT

By Kevin Slaten 05 Jul, 2023
I had the honor a few weeks ago of sitting down for brunch with two former Missouri Tiger greats from the mid 1970's. Quarterback Steve Pizarkiewicz and his center, Mike Owens. As per normal, the conversation swung around to the upcoming college football season. The schedule for the Tigers of Ole Mizzou has now been released for the 2024 season and it merits a closer look than most media will take. For years SEC football has been heralded as the premier football conference in college football history. But is that true? Have there been other conferences that could rightfully make that claim? While it's undeniable the SEC seems to have a tight grip on the national title it's also true their season champion gets an automatic pass into the playoffs. No other conference enjoys that luxury. And, truth be told, the SEC has an easier road for its runner up to get in than most conference champions. I've always believed the SEC is top heavy and history proves that correct in most seasons. But the focus here is on Mizzou. Is the "gamut" known as SEC football tougher for the Tigers now than, say, the 1976 Big 8 season? Let's examine. In the 2024 season, Oklahoma and Texas will join the SEC. Mizzou's schedule for that inaugural season is one of the weakest in memory. Their 12 opponents in 2024 combined for 69 wins last year, 5.75 per team. That should guarantee Missouri its coveted 6-6 season and a pitiful bowl game. A closer look reveals Mizzou will play only two teams that finished in the Top 20 last year, three in the Top 25. Only Alabama was in the Top Ten. Only two opponents on that inaugural schedule had eight or more wins with South Carolina barely getting eight. Only five teams had a winning record. By contrast, the 1976 Tigers played a true Murderer's Row. They opened at Southern Cal, upsetting the Trojans by three touchdowns. The Men of Troy wouldn't lose again all year and finished 2nd in the polls. Later, they would go to Ohio St. and Nebraska and beat both on the road as well, dumping a final 6th ranked Buckeyes team and a 9th ranked Cornhusker squad. Then came a loss to 5th ranked Oklahoma by 7 at Norman, a loss to 14th ranked Oklahoma St., a win over 16th ranked Colorado and a win over 19th ranked North Carolina. And, finally, a loss to 17th ranked Iowa St. If you're keeping track, the '76 Tigers played four teams in the Top Ten, winning three, all away from Faurot Field. They played eight teams in the Top 19, winning 5. Eight of the Tigers' opponents that year won at least eight games, an average for the 11 games of 7 wins per opponent, a number lowered by Kansas St.'s 1-10. So while the SEC wins National Titles regularly in football, NO team has ever played a more difficult schedule than the 1976 Missouri Tigers during that magical season of 1976! I can still feel the autumn breeze as we greeted the Tigers at Columbia Regional Airport after their triumphant returns from the LA Coliseum, the Horseshoe in Columbus, Ohio and Nebraska's Memorial Stadium. It's a snapshot in time, frozen in the annals of Mizzou's star crossed football history. And it will never be duplicated because of the watered down non conference schedules played today by Mizzou and everyone else. But I'll never forget it. And I carry the memory of how I enjoyed that 6-5 team much more than any 10-2 team during Gary Pinkel's era. The Tigers would add upsets on the road at Alabama and Notre Dame, among others, making Al Onofrio's teams of the 70's the ultimate giant killers of all time. In Warren Powers' first game they would continue the proud tradition of the Onofrio years by adding another upset of the Irish at South Bend in his first game. Remember those Golden years of gigantic upsets. It won't happen again because of cowards in the athletic departments across the country. .

As the agonizing replay kept showing the USWNT would be ending their quest for an unprecedented third consecutive World Cup title I found myself strangely happy that this group of arrogant, unpatriotic, ungrateful soccer players had lost. Strange because this women's team is one I rooted for passionately since Brandi Chastain and her teammates won a first World Cup almost a generation ago. They were fun to watch, seemed honored to represent their country and made no annoying political statements. In short, they played soccer. And did it with an elegance and grace. Oh yeah, and a dose of toughness tossed in for good measure. Like most things in the past 24 years, the USWNT changed dramatically. Not all at once and not for quite some time. But, most assuredly they changed. Even two time FIFA Player of the Year Carli Lloyd noticed it. She called this team arrogant and publicly called them out for their celebration after tying Portugal, laughing it up when only moments before a goalpost had stopped heavy underdog Portugal from sending them home in the Group Stage. Good for Carli. Someone had to. Even then, they continued, following Megan Rapinoe's lead, to not sing our National Anthem nor to place hand over heart. With a couple of exceptions. This group wasn't about to check their egos at the gates to the stadium and, led by pathetic "leader" Rapinoe, they relentlessy shoved patriotism in our collective faces. First, she complained about not being accepted as an equal because she was a lesbian. After realizing that was a laughable complaint, she began to kneel during our National Anthem. A poor woman's Colin Kaepernick if you will. At least do something original. Then she got around to demanding equal pay. At least that one had some merit, though I can't understand how a team that brings in far less revenue than the men's team could make such a demand. Then it was her social justice warrior stance re the death of uber thug George Floyd. After winning the World Cup, she showed no respect for our flag, stepping on it in celebration while teammate Kelly O'Hara, understanding the significance of the flag on the ground, raced to pick it up. Rapinoe didn't know, or worse, didn't care. Declining an invitation to the "F ing" White House she lashed out at President Trump as if her words meant something. Then admonished teammates not to go either. For too long, these Stepford women on this team have blindly followed Rapinoe's arrogant belief that she was important and that she and her team could "change the world" in her words. Please!!! So I'm happy they got their comeuppance Down Under and that Sweden is advancing. Maybe this spoiled band of athletes will listen to a real leader like Carli Lloyd next time they confuse athletic achievement with activism. Oh, and it was a bonus watching Rapinoe miss her PK that could've won the game. She then laughed about it all the way back to midfield. As former USMNT Captain Steve Pecher said, "If she had done that on my team, I would've lost my mind". The inference being Rapinoe would've received an earful from a true leader. Good riddance to this team and to Rapinoe. Here's hoisting a glass to companies not being as woke as Subway was, only to find sales plummeting after their short lived use of Rapinoe in their ads

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments on an abortion case from Mississippi. Specifically, the state law would ban abortions after 15 weeks, or 3 and 3/4 months. This law, of course, sent liberal, abortion supporting people into a tizzy. What about a woman's right to choose, they howled? Don't tell us what we can do with our body others screamed. Oddly, at least to me, is the pro life crowd seemed ok with the Mississippi law. Odd because, even at 15 weeks a human life is in progress. Since there seems to be medical consensus that a heartbeat can be reliably detected at about six and a half to seven weeks, it would seem pro lifers would object to any abortions after that period as being legal. The legal argument isn't really about choice in my opinion. It's about the Constitution. Nowhere in that document does it mention abortion or pro choice or a woman's right to choose, etc. all of the arguments made to justify Roe v. Wade. That case may have been the most egregious decision ever rendered by the Court. Nothing in the Constitution gives a woman, or anyone for that matter, the right to decide when to end a pregnancy. As I see it, once a heartbeat is detected a life has begun. It may not be the life you want, or when you wanted it, but it's a life nontheless. There are so many wonderful stories of mothers who chose life despite less than ideal circumstances for bringing a child into the world. Truly, is any time ideal? There's always something to justify ending the pregnancy. The Mississippi law allows exceptions for certain medical reasons but not for rape or incest. To me, that's the toughest question to answer. A strong argument can be made for terminating a pregnancy in either of those scenarios. I'm guessing few mothers would want to be reminded daily of that crime perpetrated on them. I believe there must be an exception in those instances. Court watchers love to interpret a Justice's leanings based on their questioning of the attorneys. Many times that is correct. But it's not always true. If it applies in this case, the traditionally liberal justices will oppose the law and the traditionally conservative justices will vote to uphold the law. Observers believe Justice Kavanaugh may be a wildcard but I disagree. His questions were mostly about precedent and how it shouldn't bar the Court from overturning a bad decision. Traditionally, the Court pays great respect to a previous decision though I can't for the life of me understand why. A bad decision is a bad decision. The sooner it's corrected the better. Otherwise, as is this case, supporters of Roe will scream it's been settled law for almost 50 years!! 50 years of bad law is still 50 years of bad law. It should've been overturned long ago. Again, my point relates to the Constitution not providing any such right to terminate a life. It's made up by Justices who wanted to justify a decision. Much like Justice Roberts' idiotic vote in relation to Obamacare as a tax in order to justify a bad decision. The great late Justice Antonin Scalia said it best when he said, "the Constitution says what it says, and doesn't say what it doesn't say". I couldn't agree more. If the great document fails to address an issue it isn't for nine unelected people to decide. It should be decided in Congress. Of course, those spineless weasels want nothing to do with deciding a controversial issue. Such is the state of our "leaders". My view is, and will continue to be, that if life begins with a heartbeat, any termination of that life going forward is murder other than the exceptions discussed earlier. I'm at a loss to see any other conclusion. We can't make up the rules just because we don't like the game. Enough with playing with the Constitution, trying to fit square pegs into round holes. It says what it says and doesn't say what it doesn't say. I wish I'd said that. As for a right to choose, which doesn't exist when it comes to life, the Mississippi law gives 15 weeks to make that choice. If you can't make a decision, any decision, in 15 weeks I feel for you. You're hopelessly wishy washy. It's the pro life crowd that ought to be complaining about this particular law. Pro choice people are getting exactly what they want, just not everything they want. Either way, the Court's decision shouldn't result in rioting but we know it will if the Court upholds the law. Think about it. Liberal, pro choice people will be rioting even though they won 15 weeks to commit murder.

I'm stunned by the reaction to the Kyle Rittenhouse verdict. Stunned because liberal, bigoted, black and white "news" broadcasters have slandered and libeled this young kid blatantly, brazenly and openly. From the illiterate Maria Shriver to race baiting black network personalities like Tiffany Cross, Al Sharpton, Joy Reid and Juan Williams, all have repeatedly LIED regarding the facts and LIED to convince viewers that Rittenhouse was somehow a White Supremacist. Even though EVERYONE in this case is white!!! It doesn't matter to these single digit IQ race peddlers. If they can't make a topic about race, they have nothing to say. If they have nothing to say they don't have a job. Two plus two has always equaled four. And if anyone on Fox dares to criticize any of the MSNBC or CNN racists they better call out their own first. That would be Juan Williams, a man who's hatred for white people was obvious before the Rittenhouse case but even moreso now. All of these people should be sued by Rittenhouse into bankruptcy and the networks that allowed them to peddle their lies. The lie they can't seem to let go is that Rittenhouse somehow crossed state lines (not a crime anywhere) with a "serious" weapon as Williams described it (ever happened and not illegal in Wisconsin had it happened) with intent to murder (since their clairvoyance allows them to know the inner workings of his mind) as a White Supremacist (no such thing) who was running around shooting people (Didn't fire his gun ONCE at anyone who didn't attack him) while somehow shooting peaceful protesters (all who were shot were prior criminals involved in criminal actions toward Rittenhouse). That's a lot of lies even by liberal media standards. But EVERY one of them is a lie according to EVERY OUNCE of evidence presented at trial. These media crimes grew from a political candidate (O'Biden) immediately claiming Rittenhouse was a deeply racist young man just two days after the incident and LONG BEFORE one piece of evidence was known. Biden should be held accountable for such irresponsible behavior and my hope is Rittenhouse will do so in civil court. Even AFTER the verdict was announced O'Biden continued his idiocy, claiming the verdict "angered" him. A sitting President of the United States casting doubt on a legal system that worked almost perfectly. According to all witness and physical evidence the jury got the verdict 100% correct. Since O'Biden has never followed the rule of law why would we expect him to support it here? We shouldn't. His is a regime that has made lawlessness an everyday occurrence. Isn't it odd that those media/political hacks who are fixated on innocently crossing state lines completely IGNORE illegal aliens crossing our southern border every minute? How rich!! Hypocrisy is their way of life. There has never been a more urgent need in this country to split into red states and blue states. Both could install their own governments with legal documents supporting the rule of law. Blue states could indoctrinate their children with nonsense like CRT and 5000 genders while red states would adopt our Founding Fathers' Constitution and respect for law enforcement. Blue states could eliminate police entirely and agree that everyone in a red state is a racist, white supremacist. Even the blacks in the red states. This isn't a radical idea. It's become clear, now more than ever, that coexistence with race baiting socialists is not an option. I offer this solution instead of an open Civil War which is where we are un-mistakenly heading if this remains in tact. Red state military would focus on defeating China and Russia while the blue state "military" could reimagine themselves as CRT demands. Blue State and Red State citizens could not cross each other's borders without permission. While I know this will be difficult for the Blue states to comprehend, we in the Red states respect the sovereignty of our country. We'll see who cries uncle first. And we won't be bailing you out once you inevitably fail. This divorce is permanent. Ponder that while you reimagine life in bizarro world.

When the Cardinals unceremoniously dumped Mike Shildt as their manager the great and powerful John “Bow tie” Mozeliak proclaimed there “philosophical differences“ between him and the manager. Everyone was scratching their collective heads wondering what these “differences” could possibly be! To his credit, Shildt took the high road when he spoke to the media, glorifying an organization that had just fired him without giving their loyal fans a reason. Mozeliak loves to hide the truth in his despicable arrogance with “Mo” stitched on his belt like some 3rd grader who thinks he’s cool!! Hint: he’s not. The truth, as we suspected, is much hazier when dealing with “Schmo”. It’s most often elusive because he believes himself to be smarter than everyone else. Hint: he’s not! Per my extremely reliable source, Shidt wanted the Cardinals to beef up their roster with players that could actually win a championship instead of fighting desperately for the second wildcard spot. You know, go out and get homegrown and perennial Cy Young winner Max Scherzer and his batting champion teammate, Trey Turner. But the Cardinals didn’t even make an offer and both ended up with the Dodgers, helping them end the Cardinals’ season. There we’re others they could’ve brought on as well but chose to pretend they were good enough. Hint: they weren’t and aren’t!! For Scherzer’s part, he told those close to him he wasn’t interested in his old hometown team because he believes they aren’t serious about winning a title. Hint: they aren’t!! Fans need to understand their loyalty to the franchise is not reciprocated. The Cardinals continue to take advantage of this blind loyalty by assuring their base they’re “competitive”. Which is exactly what Shildt said when the cameras stopped rolling. He wanted to WIN!!! Schmo was happy with being competitive and trying to catch lightning in a bottle! Hint: they won’t!! It’s become crystal clear Mozeliak won’t hire anyone to manage this team he can’t control. This goes for “in title only” GM Michael Gersch. He makes ZERO decisions and will only be the blame buffer for Mozeliak. As much as I can’t stand Larussa, he stood up to Mozeliak and the Bow tie boy didn’t like it. Since Larussa resigned Mozeliak is on his 3rd manager since 2011, all of which he gave their big chance to. Mike Matheney, Mike Schildt and now Ollie Marmol. He can control every one of them because they felt they owed him. Hint: they don’t!! Remember it here: as long as Mozeliak is in charge, the Cardinals will never play in another World Series!!

So the Cardinals pulled the plug on the Mike Shildt era. While completely un-Cardinal like, it was the right move. Which is why it's so surprising. The usual "philosophical differences" was given as the excuse for the firing with something occurring in the past few days according to Cardinals' de facto GM Bowtie Mozeliak. Could that something have been pitching Alex Reyes in the 9th inning of the wildcard game? Reyes, a blessing to every struggling hitter in the NL for the past 2+ months, obliged by serving up his specialty on a silver platter. The meatball of meatballs was gratuitously deposited in the Dodger Stadium bleachers, thus eliminating the Cardinals from any wild playoff dreams.

Based on New York Times reporting, Jon Gruden broke at least seven of the woke religion's 10 commandments. His damnation to unemployment and disgrace was inevitable. He's a sinner cast into the fiery hell of cancel culture. The woke religion disavows forgiveness and mercy. The woke cult prefers retribution for thought crimes. Gruden is a high-profile symbol of the consequences of disobedience to the woke. Monday night he resigned from his position as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. He resigned amid an investigation into private emails he wrote while working for ESPN as its lead broadcaster on "Monday Night Football." Gruden frequently emailed Bruce Allen, an executive with the Washington Football Team at the time. The NFL has been investigating owner Dan Snyder's football team for a couple of years. During the course of its review of emails of Washington employees, the league discovered Gruden's emails to Allen. The emails were written over the course of about 10 years and seemingly stopped in 2018 when Gruden left the broadcast booth to become head coach of the Raiders. Late last week, while DeMaurice Smith faced a vote regarding the future of his tenure as executive director of the NFLPA, the Wall Street Journal reported that Gruden wrote an email to Allen that called Smith dumb and ridiculed Smith's big lips. Corporate media quickly framed Gruden's lip comment as racist. Smith just as quickly framed himself as a victim of a race crime and garnered the necessary votes to stave off removal as executive director. But let's review the seven woke commandments Gruden violated with his emails, according to the New York Times. 1) Thou shalt not disparage Barack Obama. The Times revealed Gruden criticized President Obama during his 2012 re-election campaign. This is an explosive revelation. A U.S. citizen criticized a presidential candidate. 2) Thou shalt not push back against the Big Lips Matter movement. Big Lips Matter is the DeMaurice Smith faction of the Black Lives Matter movement. Many white women, particularly Instagram models and the actress Angelina Jolie, passionately support Big Lips Matter. 3) Thou shalt not question hiring practices based on sexual and gender identity. Gruden apparently felt NFL commissioner Roger Goodell overstepped his authority when he pressured former Rams coach Jeff Fisher to draft Missouri defensive end Michael Sam because Sam is queer. Gruden also isn't a fan of the NFL's policy of fast-tracking women through the referee process so the league can have more female refs. 4) Thou shalt not disagree with national anthem protesters. Gruden said that Eric Reid, a prominent anthem protester, should be fired. 5) Thou shalt not look fondly upon bare female breasts. Gruden and his male friends exchanged pictures of topless women via email. Most men do this via text string. At least that's what I've been told. 6) Thou shalt not speak honestly about Joe Biden. Gruden called Biden a "nervous clueless p---y." Seems a bit harsh. President Biden never seems nervous to me. He seems sedated. 7) Thou shalt not defend football. Gruden complained that Goodell's safety policies were an overreaction and made mothers fear allowing their sons to play football. The hypocrisy of the people cheering Gruden's cancellation is breathtaking. These same people were quiet when actor Michael Rappaport aired out NBA star Kevin Durant's homophobic, profane, misogynistic, and threatening direct messages. I'm consistent on all of this stuff. Durant and Gruden have a right to privacy and the right to express opinions polite society finds abhorrent. Durant apologized, the NBA fined Durant $50,000, and everyone moved on. That's what should have happened to Jon Gruden. But Gruden is white and held to a much higher standard of accountability. This is racist. The woke religion allows for and promotes racism. It also loves double standards. The NFL recently announced that rappers Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Enimem will star in the league's Super Bowl halftime show. Dre, Snoop, and Em have a catalogue of music that makes Gruden's emails sound like a Sunday school lesson. Gruden's private emails make him unfit to work on the NFL's platform. Meanwhile, a collection of pornographic and profane rappers are the perfect choice to showcase on popular culture's largest platform. The NFL's lack of self-awareness is stunning. Roger Goodell is the worst commissioner in the history of professional sports. The NFL has no guiding principles and no moral compass. It's led by the woke cult and social media. If you remove the crass words and interpret the message, that's what Jon Gruden was really complaining about in his emails — the NFL's lack of leadership and direction. It will be interesting to see if Gruden bends his knee and converts to the woke religion. Will he join all the other closeted men in modern America? That closet is filled with millions of heterosexual, Christian men who now live in shame of their values and beliefs because the Alphabet Mafia will damn them to hell on earth.

Sadly, we live in a time when higher education buildings have been hijacked and turned into indoctrination centers. And it isn't just Universities. Nope, it doesn't stop at the high school level either. As we've seen time after time at a variety of school board meetings the past year, the insane, Nazi like policies have been perpetrated by supposedly "educated" school administrators. The arrogance with which these people have shoved critical race theory and systemic racism into the mainstream lexicon is mind numbing. In the minds of these "educators" the parents are the evil ones somehow creating a home of racism worse than any Klan household in the 50's. This is what many teachers and administrators actually believe. And, even if it were true, which it isn't, why do "educators" believe it's their position in life to force their insanely liberal positions on innocent children and young teens? As corrupt politicians always say before they lie, "Let me be clear". Teachers, principals, administrators and any other school official at every level of education have one role and one role only: Teach the subject matter. We don't send our kids to school so you can poison their minds with your bizarre view of the world. We send them for you to teach reading, writing and arithmetic. Many will have to google "arithmetic" but take my word for it, it's math. Throw in a dose of history and Constitutional history and, presto, we have an educated child. Most sane parents believe teachers and administrators are free to discipline our children should they step out of line at school. But suffering your ideological pressure should be criminal. Do your job. Everywhere you look you see this indoctrination taking place. Safe spaces, walkouts, protests. This week at Parkway Central High School in St. Louis we were told a racial slur had been written on the bathroom wall. Black students almost immediately staged a walkout that was blessed by teachers and administrators. These cowardly adults should've told the students to get their asses back into class or face suspension. But, no, they instead coddled the poor little babies, both black and white. Superintendent Keith Marty hoped the "hurt (this slur) caused and negative impact it had" on the community was just terrible. He added, "...we should grow as a community to be more compassionate, peaceful and loving individuals". This was AFTER he found out the "slur" was written by a BLACK student and it said White Lives Matter!!! Yep, the kid understood the BS being crammed down his throat by these indoctrinators. He actually cared about his fellow students, no matter their race. Not to be outdone, a black student named Shayneisha Allen said "I don't feel safe at the school because I constantly have to look around and look back to see if someone is going to say something about me". PLEASE!! Spare me the fake victimization. But, it may not be her fault. She's been indoctrinated by teachers, administrators, media, political hacks and even the so-called "President" of the United States that she should fear white people and these "White Supremacists", whatever that is, are out to get her.Just exactly what " hurt" and "negative impact" did this have on the community Mr. Marty. My message to you: Grow up and quit teaching kids how to be cowards like you. By sending our kids to school these days we're ensuring racial division for decades to come. Thanks Obumma. Look at your legacy in black and white. In the meantime we'll take care of raising our kids. Judging by the cowardly way teachers behave in this era we'd end up fighting an invasion like the French. We'd run!

Just when I thought America and the nation’s media couldn’t be any dumber, along comes the George Zimmerman verdict. I don’t quite know where to begin so I’ll start with the basics. For those who fall for idiotic comments as long as they’re said on TV, here’s a basic premise. In this country, all of us are innocent until proven guilty. If you agree that b follows a and c follows b, see if you can keep up. If you’re found not guilty, that means you haven’t been proven guilty, thus you remain what you’ve always been: INNOCENT!!! For the moronic Facebook crowd in mommy’s basement that keeps reiterating not guilty doesn’t mean you’re innocent, yes it does. And for so-called attorneys posing on national TV to say it is unpardonable race mongering. It’s my guess that most of the loons demonstrating are unemployed. They need something to fill their days. It’s also my guess 95-100% of them didn’t watch the trial and have no idea what the evidence was. But race mongering is more fun for them than working or paying attention to that problem called evidence. The evidence in this case was overwhelmingly clear: Trayvon Martin was beating the hell out of George Zimmerman, who rightfully feared for his life. As would you or I if someone was pounding my head into cement and had broken my nose and given me two black eyes. Zimmerman had every right to return deadly force. And, for the uninitiated, this has NOTHING to do with Stand Your Ground! Again, pay attention. This is classic self-defense, available in every state to everyone. But the Al Sharptons have to incite racial discord. And that’s because he, and many others, are nothing more than race profiteers. If they can’t incite racial discord and hatred, they can’t make money. It’s that simple. I didn’t hear any of these people who claim this verdict is wrong screaming likewise when O.J. Simpson was found Not Guilty. And I said on the radio at that time that I would’ve voted OJ not guilty, much to the consternation of my boss at the time who knew only how to spin records and not much else. If you believe that Hispanic is a race, how is it that George Zimmerman is white. He has a Peruvian mother and a Caucasian dad. He’s only white for purposes of race mongering. The same people who claim he’s white have no trouble accepting Barak Obama to be black, even though his mother is white. Why isn’t he white? It’s preposterous. I’ve listened to people on local radio the last 24 hours make fools of themselves talking about this case. They espouse idiotic rhetoric without knowing even a scintilla of the evidence. Yes, the 911 dispatcher told Zimmerman “we don’t need you to do that” referring to following Martin. However, that same dispatcher also told Zimmerman to keep an eye on him. And the dispatcher isn’t law enforcement. As Michael Myers of the New York Civil Rights Coalition said, Sharpton and his like peddle racial poison, ie No Justice, No Peace. That’s nothing more than a threat of violence from the “Reverend”. David Webb, a black host on Sirius radio says everyone should reject the Sharptons and his like outright. Let’s move to Angela Corey, the Special Prosecutor that brought bogus charges to pander to the race mongers. She needs to be disbarred immediately. She said one word describes George Zimmerman after the verdict….Murderer. This woman represents everything that’s wrong with the legal process and is the epitome of prosecutorial misconduct. She withholds exculpatory evidence from the defense and fires an employee of her office for correctly informing the defense of its existence. This woman is a disgrace. Bringing charges in this case was a disgrace. If she isn’t disbarred, then no lawyer in this country should EVER be disbarred. I believe she should face criminal charges herself. Victor Cruz and Roddy White, two NFL morons, took to twitter to suggest Zimmerman won’t make it past the hood and the jurors should go home and kill themselves. I’m sure neither watched the trial but decided to open their uneducated mouths anyway. Again, their apologies ring hollow and I believe they both should face criminal charges as well. They’re inciting violence. For my money, these demonstrators are nothing but illiterate noise. They follow the media and Sharpton’s lead like the robots they are. The media in this country should lose its Constitutional protection. They are an absolute farce and check into nothing. They get fed a narrative, in this case by the prosecution, and then run with it, trampling every civil right George Zimmerman has. I couldn’t be happier he’s suing NBC for editing the 911 call to make him sound racist. NBC apologized. Whoopee!!! They did this intentionally to incite racial discord so they could profit off the coverage. The FCC should withdraw their license to broadcast. For the record, at the time this tragedy took place, Zimmerman was mentoring two young black kids even though the mentoring program had ended. He’s had black kids living in his house when he was between the ages of 6-12. He took a black girl as a date to his prom. Wow!! This guy is a racist. But please don’t let the facts get in the way of your race mongering. It isn’t good for business. The talking heads on TV have such a race profiteering agenda. It’s become a national disease in this country. There isn’t anything resembling objective reporting when it comes to racial issues. That’s because the TV folks are petrified to say anything to a black guest that is inciting racial discord. Why I don’t know. Here’s a fact for you: 92% of murdered black people are killed by black males. Again, not my opinion, but a fact. And, as far as racial profiling is concerned, when Jesse Jackson admitted he was afraid when a group of young black men approached him at night in a Chicago alley, was he racially profiling? Stop listening to the morons on TV and do your homework and your thinking for yourselves. Or just don’t comment. Especially if you happen to have a responsibility as a radio host in this town. Shame on you for not doing any research into the evidence or the facts before opening your mouths. Or as an emailer suggested to me: Breaking News…Millions of Facebook users just got their law degrees. I rest my case.

Allow me a stroll down Memory Lane. I remember not that long ago a country that had leaders, both political and industry, that were in possession of a spine. One must look long and hard to find ANYONE in any leadership position today that has the courage of their convictions. Other than Bill Belichick there’s no one resembling the great Vince Lombardi. Today, a coach has to be the player’s friend or, more accurately, his/her babysitter. And there’ll be no more Belichicks. Six Super Bowl wins in nine appearances grants you some leeway. It’s the same in business. When the coward Rob Manfred immediately caved in to wokeism and removed baseball’s all star game from Atlanta, corporate heads at Coca Cola and Delta Airlines quickly jumped on board. If you’ve forgotten the stated reason for moving the game to Denver it was Georgia’s modified election law which required a legal voter to be in possession of a valid ID. Oh the shock of such voter suppression we were told. Of course it was designed to keep black voters from voting because, liberals told us, blacks are unable to obtain a valid ID. Nothing racist about that thought process. So Coke and Delta’s CEO’s, both white, jumped into the woke pool and claimed they supported the move because the new law was obviously designed to suppress minority votes. Never mind that in order for any of us to pick up an airline ticket or, God forbid, ever board an actual Delta flight, we had to, altogether now class, possess and show a valid ID!!!! I know, the hypocrisy is stunning in its stupidity. On top of that nonsense, the game was removed from a predominantly black city with minority owned businesses, to a predominantly white city with white owned businesses! Experts estimate the move cost Atlanta and their minority owned businesses some $100 million. Cowards aren’t very smart either. It goes without saying there aren’t more than a handful of politicians that would actually say what they believe. Too afraid of the cancel culture. Liberal thinking has reduced anyone exercising freedom of speech to censor or outright destruction of their lives. For instance, the United States Olympic Committee, in their infinite wisdom, will allow hammer head hammer throwing Gwen Berry of St. Louis to participate as a member of the U.S. team despite turning her back on our anthem and proclaiming it a racist song that she doesn’t identify with. Not to be outdone, the U.S. women’s soccer team had several members turn away from the flag AND from 98 year old veteran Pete Dupre who played the anthem on his harmonica. The entire team should be stricken from these games, coaches fired on the spot. If you hate your country this much, why should you be allowed to represent them in international competition, wearing USA across your chest? Except the USOC cowards who make decisions can’t even look themselves in the mirror, so scared they might see a spine growing. Yep, the nonsense continues with the lying, cowardly media carrying the water for their cowardly brethren by insisting the women weren’t turning away, just facing another flagpole. These people can’t even LIE well. So the next time you scratch your head wondering how we got here in this country join me on that walk down Memory Lane to a place where CEO’s took no BS, coaches ruled with an iron fist, exercising discipline. Discipline? What’s that? I’m getting silly now. But I still believe in that place on Memory Lane when a person’s word stood for something, people put in an honest day’s work, and communities pulled together for the greater good instead of asking what’s in it for me. It’s a lonely place down on Memory Lane. Join me for a smile thinking about how it used to be. How much BETTER it once was.

Before I get too far into my first blog on our new website, some thank you’s are in order. To borrow from James Cagney as George M. Cohan in Yankee Doodle Dandy, “My mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you, and I thank you”. We hope this will be an informative forum as well as adding a sprinkling of humor. But, above all, we just hope you enjoy it. Here goes: If I had a late Independence Day wish list or an early Christmas wish list I would hope most reading this would agree at the top of any list should be full, forensic audits of the election returns from 2020 in the six swing states that simultaneously stopped counting votes on election night with Trump winning in a landslide. There can only be one reason and one reason only for liberals to be against such audits. They cheated, lied and stole what was supposed to be a free and fair election. As a non-liberal, I say bring it on. If the forensic audits prove Joe Willie O’Biden to be the true winner, congratulations and I’ll tip my cap. AND, we’ll be able to have confidence in elections again. As I write this, a majority of Americans don’t believe we have fair elections anymore. And why would they think otherwise. In torn down. burning inner cities Democrats have been in power for over half a century. Are the voters in these cities this stupid or is something nefarious at play here? Stolen elections. It didn’t start with the Great Theft of 2020. So No.1 on the list is full forensic audits. Secondly, can we put a moratorium on the phrase “root cause”? I don’t ever want to hear it again. Heels Up Harris says it so often now it should be stricken from our vocabulary. If I hear that cackling fool utter it again I’ll vomit. It means nothing, says nothing and DOES nothing to improve this criminal policy of theirs to open our country’s borders. Third, can we all agree that one more word from the mouth of that vile, evil bigot Cori Bush will be one word too many? She screams that black people aren’t free on the 4th of July while she enjoys the fruits of being a United States Congresswoman making $174,000 in legal salary. No word on what else she might make. I think most Americans would like that kind of freedom! Her district has elected a black person for the last half century or more and yet they aren’t free!! She openly supports a Marxist terrorist organization, Black Lives Matter, which preaches the breakup of the nuclear family on their own website. Is it freedom from her family she’s looking for? Fourth, can the Cardinals finally part ways with the Bowtie Boy, John Mozeliak? I have nothing against bowties, it’s him I have a problem with. This organization has idly sat by while he destroys the farm system by giving away future starters like Aroldis Garcia to the Texas Rangers for cash. He’s among the league leaders in home runs and RBI’s while hitting .270. And Randy Arozarena, another outfielder who made major league history last fall by enjoying the most productive post season in baseball history. He was traded for a pitcher with a 3-4 record and a 4.40 ERA in the minor leagues for the Cardinals. YIKES!!!! Enough!!!!!!! Time to part ways with Mozeliak for good. Recent seasons haven’t been good ones for the Cardinals. With no hope for reinforcements from the farm. This is just a start to the list but you have to start somewhere. Oh, and no more mentions of O’Biden’s favorite ice cream flavor either, OK? My mother thanks you, my father thanks you, my sister thanks you and I thank you!
